Agora is a Mediterranean kitchen with a Turkish focus, tucked into historic Northwood on North Dixie Highway. The room is gallery-style, with a view into the working kitchen, and there’s a patio for when the weather is good. Owner Semih Arif Ozdemir builds the menu around fresh ingredients, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes next to the grilled and slow-cooked favorites. The mood is lively and colorful rather than stuffy, and it works for a long dinner with friends or a quiet table at the counter. Agora also does catering and private events.
